Look Ma, no work today! Only ukulele!

If you were in the Rochester/Biopolis/Ayer Rajah/Holland Village area yesterday and saw groups of people running around completing tasks and scribbling stuff on paper, that was my colleagues and I on a teambuilding exercise!  Lunch followed the three-hour (amazing) race, afterwhich we were told to “Go home and rest ye tired feet! Come back on Friday ready to work!”

“Go home and rest ye tired feet! Come back on Friday ready to work!”

“Go home and rest ye tired feet! Come back on Friday ready to work!”

Question: What does one do when faced with an unexpected day off from work?

Why… Make plans to play the ukulele, of course!

Stacey and I have been meaning to jam since last November, but due to conflicting work schedules, we haven’t had the chance. We took turns on the guitar + ukulele and played mostly the Top 40s… from 10 years ago that is!

I had to learn some new chords today, the challenging (sophisticated?) pinky-extended chords, to play the songs that Stacey and I chose for our jam session.

You know what? There is an upside to peer pressure afterall…
